Real Estate Agent Personal Branding : Annapolis, MD

Theresa Kurtz is a real estate agent serving Anne Arundel County, MD. I met Theresa years ago through a local business networking group in Annapolis, MD and we've stayed connected through social media since. Theresa needed an update to her professional headshots for her website, social media, LinkedIn, and real estate video content. I've always been inspired by Theresa's work ethic and positivity—she truly takes care of her clients and consistently shares video tours of beautiful homes across Maryland—which I love!

Our goal was to create fresh, confident, and inviting images that could be used across multiple platforms—social media, websites, videos, and traditional print materials. We wanted Theresa to connect with her clients, showcase her personal style, and exude confidence through these images. I was also strategic about creating images that could be versatile for design uses, including printed flyers, website graphics, and social media posts.

We shot these images at The Annapolis Studio, which offers a few setup options for portraits and personal branding photography that are light and airy. Since Theresa is in the business of selling homes, I utilized the studio's couch and beautiful backlit window light, mixing strobe lighting with natural light to create depth and dimension. I also wanted the images to feel personal, like we were in someone’s home. I love guiding my client’s through the image selection process. This is when I can help walk them through different uses and crops for their most beloved images. Theresa wanted to show her natural, positive self along with her confident business side. I think she did a great job selecting images that felt true to her.
