Actor Headshots for Christopher
Actor Headshots Photographer
I had the pleasure of photographing young actor, Christopher Williams during my trip home to Maryland. Christopher’s actor headshots shoot was actually my last shoot before I moved out of my studio and back home to NYC! It was a fun morning with Christopher, his mother and friend in the studio. I had my trusty barber and groomer, Kelley from Amie Decker Beauty on set to make sure Christopher looked great throughout the shoot!
We focused on creating some strong commercial shots of Christopher, as most of his ambitions is to go into TV/Film/Commercials and Screenwriting. Christopher is currently attending Full Sail University for Screenwriting, which is awesome that he is pursing acting as well!
This final shot of Christopher’s selects is more of a theatrical/legit shot of him. Going for variety in your actor headshots is important so you can utilize different images for different roles. You may be auditioning for a certain “type” of role, which would need a specific theatrical headshot. However if you’re auditioning for things like commercials or print campaigns, you’ll use your happy, smiley commercial headshot. I love the finals that Christopher selected and cannot wait to see where Christopher’s career takes him!
I also included a few more photos from Christopher’s proofs, so you can get an idea for how our shoot went. We went for very basic backgrounds; mostly white/gray/black but I added a few punches of color (I can never resist a colorful backdrop). Many actors prefer neutral backdrops, but I think that using a bright and vibrant color that compliments my client and their outfit can make a very strong and memorable headshot.
I’m thinking of including more outtakes in my blog posts – they aren’t final images but, still very awesome shots. Let me know what you think in the comments!
