Travis Curry Photography

New site, new direction!

My web presence has gone through a lot of identity crisis over the years. I bought my first domain, traviscurry.com in 2009 when I was a college student, that first website was built in HTML that I self-taught myself back in high school. I thought I was so cool that I had my own domain name and email address. At that time, the site showcased my design work as I was just about to graduate from the University of Tampa with my Advertising/PR degree. Sometime in 2010 or 2011 I bought traviscurryphotography.com to use that domain to strictly focus on my budding photography career. I kept traviscurry.com for design until about 2012 when I started using that for strictly Wedding Photography. Honestly, traviscurryphotography.com has always kind of showcased my Headshot, Commercial & Portrait work. It’s the site most people find and go to, so I’ve decided to continue to water that garden. If you are looking for my Wedding Photography, you can go to TravisCurryWeddings.com. As far as the current state of traviscurry.com – it’s more of an online portfolio of fashion & beauty images. Ultimately, traviscurryphotography.com is my home on the web but it needed a serious update. The website had always gotten compliments and people were impressed that I coded it myself (um, it’s really old code and CSS). I took pride in that design, but with each year, I realized how much I was dis-serving myself to not move my site to a different platform. Back in April I met up with a group of other photographers for a website critique and got some really good feedback about my site. After that critique and running some analysis, I decided that I needed to do the long-awaited update. I’ve been putting off blogging until I switch up my site and couldn’t wait any longer to get my ish together.

Since running a business leads me little time to focus on going in and re-coding things, switching to a WordPress/blog platform is going to be the best way for me to stay current and in the good grace’s of the Google Gods!

So as of May 19, 2015 – I’ll be moving my content from my old blog address and updating¬†this site and hopefully be
